Rehabilitation Project Bid
Introduction / Discussion
The City was awarded federal stimulus funding for this project. The City Council previously
approved a staff request to delegate award authority for this project to the City Manager in an
amount not to exceed the funding allocated to the project of $744,000.
Bids were publicly opened by the City Clerk on July 8. The City received six bids for this
project.
The low bid is $663,091.05, 2.5% lower than the engineer's estimate, and nearly all
bids are within 10% of the lowest bidder. The bid results are listed below:

Since the bids received are within the funding allocated, the City Manager awarded the
contract to the low bidder, MCK Services, on July 17.
Fiscal Impact
The low bid is within the project budget, and no additional fund allocation is needed.
Recommendation
Adopt the project plans, specifications, and project details to conform to the Uniform
Construction Accounting Act.
