Proclamation Request
Dear Joanne:
On behalf of the Lafayette Moraga Youth Association, and the LMYA Dolphins Swim Team, I respectfully request
a resolution from the City of Lafayette recognizing the 49th Annual Contra Costa County Championship Swim
Meet that will be held in August in Lafayette, CA.
The 49th Annual Contra Costa County Championship Swim Meet will be held on August 15-16 at the Steve
Heaston Aquatic Center at Acalanes High School in Lafayette
This County-wide event is sponsored by and run by the Lafayette Moraga Youth Association, a not-for-profit
community sports organization, and the proceeds support the Lafayette Moraga Youth Association Dolphins Swim
Team.
Each year this championship brings together all the top swimmers from the County's recreational swim clubs.
Each swimmer must beat a challenging time to qualify to swim in an individual event. It is an honor for swimmers
to become eligible to swim in this meet.
This Meet has become the premier recreational swim meet in Contra Costa County, and is one of the largest and
longest running Swim Championship meets in the Country.
Please let me know what else I can provide to make this resolution recognizing the fastest recreational swimmers
in the County possible.
